Private Rudolf Charles Kasper Olesen was a Danish soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born in Copenhagen, the son of Rudolf (or Rudolph), a cooper by trade, and Thora Frederikke Olesen (née Jeppesen).[1]

Aged 23, Olesen died on 8 August 1918, in the Battle of Amiens, while serving with the 7th (Service) Battalion, The Buffs (East Kent Regiment) on the Western Front. On enlistment, he had given his place of residency as Bermondsey, Surrey.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Vis-en-Artois Memorial.
