Fireman Salvatore Grech was a Maltese sailor of the Royal Naval Reserve who was killed during the First World War.

He was born in Malta, the son of Vincenzo and Maria Grech

Aged 29, Grech died on 20 January 1918, when the German U-boat UC-22 torpedoed and sunk the armed boarding steamer HMS Louvain in the Aegean Sea, with the loss of seven officers and 217 men.

He has no known grave and is commemorated at the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
