Chief Petty Officer Steward Salvatore Spiteri was a Maltese sailor of the Royal Navy who was killed during the Second World War.

He was born the son of Paul and Mary Spiteri, of Floriarla, and was the husband of Esther.

Aged 41, Spiteri died on 8 June 1940, when the aircraft carrier HMS Glorious was sunk in an engagement with the German battleships Scharnhorst and Gneisenau, off Norway. More than 1,200 of the crew perished.

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
