Sergeant Saul Austin Roy Rosenthal was an English airman of the Royal Air Force Volunteer Reserve who died during the Second World War.
He was born in West Ham, the son of Maurice and Elizabeth Rosenthal (née Cape), of London and Hull, respectively.
Aged 20, Rosenthal, a wireless operator and air gunner with 106 Squadron, died on 11 August 1943, when his Avro Lancaster (serial DV195) was lost to unknown causes, crashing at Furth, while engaged on an operation against Nuremburg.[1]
The seven crew are buried in Durnbach War Cemetery.
