Private Soloman Zimmerman was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1896, in Birmingham, the son of Polish-born Jacob, a tailor, and Eva Zimmerman. At the time of the 1911 Census, Zimmerman was working as an errand while living with his family at 30 Sherlock Street.
Zimmerman died on 24 August 1916, during the Somme Offensive, while serving with the 5th Battalion, The Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire Light Infantry on the Western Front.
He is buried in Delville Wood Cemetery, Longueval.
