Fusilier Solomon Chapman was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the Second World War.

He was born in 1914, in Prestwich, the son of Nathan, a tailor machiner at the time of the 1911 Census, and Julia Chapman (née Kerdansky), of Austria and Russia, respectively.

Aged 25, Chapman died on 26 May 1940, during the Battle of France, while serving with the 1/8th Battalion, The Lancashire Fusiliers. His date of death coincided with the beginning of Operation Dynamo, the Dunkirk evacuation.

He is buried in Wormhoudt Communal Cemetery.
