Lance Corporal Solomon Edelstone was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in in Manchester, Lancashire, the son of Russian parents Joseph, a maker of waterproof garments, and Sarah Edelstone. At the time of the 1911 census, the Edelstone family were residing at 159 Heywood Street, Cheetham.
Aged 21, Edelstone died on 22 October 1917, during the Third Battle of Ypres, while serving with the 23rd Battalion, The Manchester Regiment on the Western Front.
He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Tyne Cot Memorial.
