Gunner Stephen Smeethe Dias was a Jamaican soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.

He was born on 10 June 1888, in Clarke's Town, Trelawny, the son of David Mortimer and Medora Jane Dias (née Whiting).[1]

Dias died on 23 August 1918, on the Western Front, while serving with the 11th Battalion, Tank Corps. He had formerly belonged to King Edward's Horse and had first arrived in France in May 1915.[2]

He is buried in Cabaret-Rouge British Cemetery, Souchez.
