Bombardier Sydney Eric Dobrantz, born Ebrich Wener S. Dobrantz, was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1895, in Lambeth, the son of Polish-German parents Gustav Ludwig, a provision dealer, and Johanna Marie Dobrantz (née Hartenstein). At the time of the 1911 census, the younger Dobrantz was apprenticing as a silversmith while living with his family at 22 Wakefield Street, King's Cross.
Dobrantz died on 19 October 1917, of wounds received on the Western Front, while serving with "B" Battery, of the 290th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.
He is buried in Dozinghem Military Cemetery.
