Leading Steward Vincenzo Diacono was a Maltese sailor of the Royal Navy who died during the Second World War.

He was born on 18 May 1901, in Senglea,[1] the son of Natale and Carmela Diacono (née Mallia), and was husband to Mary Mifsud, of Kalkara.

Diacono died on 8 June 1940, when the German battlecruisers Scharnhorst and Gneisenau sunk the aircraft carrier HMS Glorious in the North Sea, with the loss of more than 1,200 crew. He had entered the navy in 1919.[1]

He has no known grave and is commemorated by the Plymouth Naval Memorial.
