Gunner William Hendrik Kuypers was an English soldier of the British Army who died during the First World War.
He was born in 1880, in Sheffield, the son of Dutch-born Hendrik Jan, an engineering fitter at a works, and Mary Outram, of Sheffield. The younger Kuypers married in 1907, to Marion Hilton, of Hodey Hill. At the time of the 1911 census, Kuypers was working as a wood carver and living with his wife at 500 Barnsley Road.
Kuypers died on 6 September 1918, on the Western Front, while serving with "F" Battery of the 45th Brigade, Royal Field Artillery.
He is buried in Glageon Communal Cemetery Extension, built by Germany for Allied prisoners of war..
